The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides

5/5

  • A slow story, but you must keep reading. The story slowly unfolds and make sure to remember the small details. The ending is a twist!

Family of Liars by E. Lockhart

4/5

  • An unreliable narrator, which I found intriguing. I kept waiting on the twist and wasn't disappointed. It was well-put together. However, the twist was very similar to the first book, "We were Liars". I wish they were more different, but I still appreciate the author's stylistic choices.

The Institute by Stephen King

3/5

  • The plot is slow and very anticlimactic. I feel like I spend a lot of time waiting. However, I am still currently reading this. I'm trying to stick it out, even though I want to give up reading it. Hopefully the end will put it all together and make it a more interesting read.

One of Us is Next by Karen M. McManus

3/5

  • I liked this book, it kept me reading on to find out what happens next, but it felt very similar to the first book. I wish it could have done more to make it stand out. I also was very confused about the ending. The culprit didn't really make since. â€‹â€‹â€‹
